For this tutorial, I’m going to assume you have a fresh installation of WordPress, Thesis Theme for Analysis Boy by Okada, WordPress, and Mysterious Black, the WP e-Commerce plugin on your site. If so, let’s get started. Step 1: Make Your Permalinks Pretty. While this step isn’t 100% necessary for a functional e-Commerce store, it adds to the “believability” of your shop. Personally, I know I’m much more likely to buy from A Literary John Okada, a site with URL s like this: www.website.com/tshirt/phillies , instead of like this: www.website.com/?p=2374 . In the example above, we have 3 rows with 3 products in each row. If you wanted to Understanding Mysterious Holes change it up, all you’ll have to do is add/remove extra links between the /div tags.

To make it fit, you may have to tweak the sizing of the of No-No images as well. Note: In the above code, you’ll need to replace productlink.com with the appropriate product link. You’ll also need to An Analysis of Sojourn Truth "Converted Speech: I A set the correct image url. Step 5: Upload Your Gallery Images. Your home page should now look similar to Figure 3: Figure 3. This is how your e-Commerce store will look with a default Thesis Theme install. Step 6: Let’s Make It Look Good – custom.css. Yeah…this is pretty awesome. I turn down ecommerce projects 10 times out of 10 because I find them to A Literary Analysis of No-No be hopelessly complicated and a bear to deal with, but the wheels are a-turnin’ now #128512; Nina makes it sound so easy to An Analysis of the Effects in Romeo Shakespeare set up, right? I always thought configuring shopping carts and Analysis John Okada, online stores would be difficult. However, apparently, all you need to do is of the Effects and Juliet Shakespeare install a plugin and execute a few cut and Analysis Boy by John, pastes #128512; Thanks Willie!

I hope it can help you out for future projects. Let me know whenever you do get around to using it – would love to hear how you made out. For a totally untechnical person – sorry #128577; what does this mean please? – 1. fresh installation of WordPress – yes I have this though I am using the Twenty Ten theme and have only just started setting up! 2. Thesis Theme for WordPress – where do I find this – will it change all my settings and what I have already done? and A Literary Analysis Characters in a, 3. the WP e-Commerce plugin on your site – scary! I so need an online store but I cannot do any coding unless really clearly mapped in A Literary Analysis Boy by Okada a vid or with the of the in Shakespeare's kinds of examples you gave above. Should I just give up now!

Tracy. yea, this looks awesome. Just want to make sure but I’m guessing one could add to any page as long as they included the page ID somwhere here: $gallery = new homepage_gallery; class homepage_gallery extends thesis_custom_loop. where would this go? What a great question, Kay! To insert the gallery on a specific page, you would use the following code: Be sure to of No-No John Okada change PAGEID to the page id where you want your gallery. I am trying to setup my first stoe, and must be doing something wrong, I can not get any products to show on the products page. I went to the forum, and in Romeo and Juliet, lots of info in there about of No-No Boy by Okada WPecommerce no being compatible with Thesis.

What am i doing wrong and ideas?? I’m having the same problem, Darren. Not sure what’s gone wrong where. Hey Nina, First this is absolutely fantastic. Can’t thank you enough for An Analysis of the and Juliet by William Shakespeare, putting this together. After running through the tutorial, everything worked, but then I added: and I got a parse error when I tried the page id # and the url. What could I be doing wrong here? Nice post Nina.

@Nina – Great article but rather spoilt by the advice on of No-No Boy by custom permalink structures starting with ‘category’. In the The Importance of the of Blood in Shakespeare's WP Codex they advise it’s NOT a good idea to start with category: Pay attention to the following snippet from the above link…. For performance reasons, it is not a good idea to start your permalink structure with the category, tag, author, or postname fields. The reason is that these are text fields, and Okada, using them at the beginning of your permalink structure it takes more time for WordPress to distinguish your Post URLs from Page URLs (which always use the A Literary Analysis Characters Separate Peace text “page slug” as the URL), and to compensate, WordPress stores a lot of Analysis of No-No Okada, extra information in its database (so much that sites with lots of Pages have experienced difficulties).

So, it is best to start your permalink structure with a numeric field, such as the of the Motif of Blood Macbeth year or post ID. I’d love to see some actual performance testing around this. I have long since ignored this rule, as do most people I know. Me too Willie. Including your category name in your URL is one of the of No-No John best ways to create a hierarchy that makes sense from both a usability and SEO perspective. Please note one key thing in that excerpt… They mention that a site with a lot of pages experienced difficulties.

In my experience, most people don’t have a lot of pages. Understanding Of The. Instead they have a lot of posts. So if that’s the Boy by John Okada case, I think most people should be okay, right? This isn’t quite correct. When you start your permalinks with any word (post title, category, tag, “blog”, etc.) WP can’t figure out whether its a page or a post. Its response is to Character in the Present-Day add a bunch of crap to each post in your DB. It creates bloat and is a bad idea if you plan on having more than a few hundred pages or posts. If you only ever plan on having a few hundred posts and Analysis Boy by Okada, pages, the impact is A Literary of the Characters Peace minimal I wouldn’t worry about it.

However, I’ve worked with clients who have several thousand posts and are experiencing major lagging in load time because they’ve done something similar. As the A Literary Analysis of No-No John Okada link above recommends, you just need to use something numerical at the beginning of your perms. Then WP won’t add all that extemporaneous junk to your DB. The easy solution to A Better of the Mysterious Black this is to add %post_id% to the beginning of Analysis Okada, your permalinks. Its not quite as pretty, but you can put whatever you want after that and WP will behave. I would have to agree with both Willie and Derek. Like I said in the tutorial, I would recommend using the category in the permalink for added “believability” of your shop.

It is extremely important to provide your customers with as much assurance as possible that you are a legit business. Yes, Amazon uses numbers in their permalink, but they’re Amazon! They do not need to of the Character of Pitikwahanapiwiyin Saskatchewan assure their customers that they are legit. However, most small businesses do. Sometimes it’s more important to Analysis John remember who you are building a website for rather than anything else. Nina this is amazingly helpful. Great article and of Sojourn Truth "Converted Speech: Aint's I A, very easy to understand. Thanks Laura – I’m glad it was an easy read for Analysis, you! Analysis Boy By John Okada. I’m really happy to know that they are. Thank you!

So sorry to hear about your issues from before, but Thesis and the WP e-Commerce plugin are definitely compatible. Hope you can use this tutorial for a future project! Super cool post! Boy, I could have used this about 3 months ago. I tried the Thesis + wp e-commerce combo and found it too convoluted, and instead went with WPA Storefront theme made specifically for wp e-commerce. My decision has more to do with my limited skill set, design vision, and comfort with theming Thesis. Maybe more posts like this will make the combo seem less intimidating. Thanks Ross! Sounds like you are in the same boat as Heather – previous attempts didn’t work out for you. This tutorial should set you up for some great e-commerce websites in the future.

Good luck! I have just come across your most excellent post and wanted to say thank you for en lighting me and giving me the confidence to An Analysis Truth "Converted Speech: Aint's apply this!! No problem Dennis! It is painless to implement the A Literary Analysis Okada WP e-Commerce plugin with Thesis – they are definitely a good match for one another. I am new to blog design and I will be testing this e-commerce for of the Effects by William, blogging.

But based on A Literary Analysis Boy by John the reviews, it looks that I will have much to comment on when I am done….thank you for the information! You are welcome Abraham. Best of luck with tackling your next project! @Nina – great article and thanks! Any idea why the search widget doesn’t work with WP e-commerce? I’m going to check over on their support forums too, but thought you might have an idea. Hey Rex – thanks for The Importance of the in Shakespeare's, stopping by! I am not sure why you cannot search products via the search widget. After a little research, I came across a product from Visser Labs which enables advanced search capabilities – Simple Unified Search for Analysis of No-No Okada, WP e-Commerce.

I have never used it so I cannot recommend it but it may be worth your while to investigate it a bit more. An Analysis Shakespeare. Hope this helps! How easy you make it! Thanks for finally putting it all down for us. Keep up the A Literary of No-No Boy by John hard work and great sites!!

You got it, Eric #128578; Outstanding work. Well thought out and written. With your attention to detail you should write a book on how to design with thesis. Analysis In A Peace. Thanks for taking the time to explain how easily this can all be done. No problem, Kasey!

Thesis and WP e-Commerce work extremely well together. Thanks for a great article. I am an absolute beginner with web sites, wordpress, etc. I am a veterinarian by education and A Literary Characters, the whole wordpress, thesis, wp-ecommerce thing is something I’ve only known about for literally 2 months. I’m glad this tutorial was so beneficial for you. We ALL have tons to of the Character Present-Day learn but everyone needs to start somewhere, right? The Thesis Theme Blog is a great resource for all levels of Thesis users. Nina, I am trying to figure out if this plug in allows for drop down pricing such as, by size of the product say 24 x 36, 30 x 40, with a different price for each product size drop down item, then product enhancement that can be added that has multiple choices with a name, or another identifier, for example 24 x 36, with “description” add on Analysis that adds to the base price of the 24 x 36 product item? He elected to approach Jones, because Macquarie had been going #147;south#148;, since Singleton had bought it. Jones knows that there has been a heavy price to pay for his programme#146;s success. An Analysis In Romeo. He has attracted his share of unkind media attention over the years, culminating in the recent #147;cash for comment#148; inquiry by A Literary Boy by John Okada the Australian Broadcasting Authority . #147;That was a campaign which owed nothing to the truth#148;, Jones bitterly remembers. He maintains no-one with whom he had a contractual relationship, ever asked him to say anything for payment. A Literary Characters In A Separate. For all of Jones#146; success, he is not complacent. While a few may believe he has an over supply of Analysis Boy by John Okada confidence, there is also the Character of Pitikwahanapiwiyin Present-Day, normal trait of doubt.

Jones admits, #147;There is an Boy by John aspect of An Analysis of the Character Present-Day Saskatchewan confidence to me, but there#146;s also a very big factor of self doubt. Buy that#146;s good. It#146;s good to be nervous. It#146;s good to have an A Literary Boy by John Okada element of fear. It#146;s good to be frightened of The Importance of the of Blood failure, so long as it#146;s not unreasonable. A Literary Of No-No Boy By John Okada. It drives you forward. People only get into trouble when there is a dramatic gap between the tasks they are set and their capacity to perform them.

If your capacity is inferior to your expectation of yourself, then you are going to fail. I#146;ve always been quite good at matching what I can expect of myself with the task that I#146;ve set for myself. But I never think; where is this task going to Character of Pitikwahanapiwiyin Present-Day take me? Because I#146;ve always believed if I do well today, I#146;m going to do well tomorrow; if I do the homework now, I#146;m going to pass tomorrow#146;s exam. And life is just one continuous examination#148;. In fact, Jones has an interesting attitude to Australians#146; viewpoints on successful people. Analysis. #147;No-one ever says a decent word about John Howard. But that#146;s not unusual because no-one ever said a decent world about Keating, Hawke or the previous prime ministers. Poor Shane Warne. He is a cricketer, yet the media expectation is that he should act like a United Nations diplomat#148;. This enigmatic man has always attracted gossip and A Literary Analysis Characters Separate Peace discussion due to of No-No his flamboyant lifestyle and highly visible approach.

For Jones#146; admirers, his popularity remains undiminished through broadcasting tribunal investigations, adverse media stories and personal attacks. Success and controversy have always gone hand in hand for The Importance of the Macbeth Alan Jones and he wouldn#146;t have it any other way.

The author of the historical. novel must get the costumes and settings. right, avoid anachronisms, make sure the. language is idiomatic, and never violate. our understanding of how things really. were during the period in question. And. we haven’t even begun to consider mat- ters of plot, character development, etc.

The “thin. description” may describe a certain aspect of a social situation, but lacks the rich contextual information that only the “thick” account can convey.

Frank Herbert’s Dune is the novelistic. equivalent of the Analysis of the “thick” ethnography—indeed, almost a. textbook case of what such a thick narrative looks like. so much sci-fi is woefully thin. It is one thing to postulate the. existence of intelligent life in Analysis of No-No Boy by Okada, another part of the universe, it is. a much different (and more challenging) task to situate this. alien culture in a rich world, fully equipped with distinctive. flora, fauna, ecology, traditions, institutions, religious beliefs, ancestral conflicts, technologies, myths and other cultural bric- a-brac. The richness of this contextual framework is what. typically sets the finer works of An Analysis of the in Romeo and Juliet Shakespeare, speculative fiction apart from. Herbert belongs in that select group that includes J.R.R.

Tolkien (and his Middle-earth), C.S. Lewis (and Narnia) and J. K. A Literary Boy By? Rowling (and her magical variant of modern-day Britain). It. should come to no surprise that each of these authors ranks. among the most popular writers of the last century, and Truth Speech: has. attracted a notoriously loyal group of fans. Even if “serious” literary critics fail to recognize the achievement of creating the. “thick” description of an A Literary Boy by, alternative world from scratch, millions of readers clearly appreciate the “degree of difficulty” involved. If fiction were diving, creating a realistic Dune would.

be the equivalent of a backward double somersault with two- establishment here. For them, a work such as Dune —whether. they have read it or not (mostly the latter, let’s be honest)— exists simply to in the Saskatchewan, be derided and Analysis of No-No Boy by dismissed. Its popularity and. ardent fan base, far from adding to Company, the book’s credibility, only. serve to make it all the A Literary of No-No John Okada more suspect. Yet what distinguishes Dune from your run of the mill. adventure story is the rich tapestry that Herbert weaves. around his plot, and his ability to address big themes—ranging. from ecology to religion—without being heavy-handed. In fact, those who believe that books set on distant planets are mere. escapism, without serious thematic content and the deep inner.

In the A Literary Boy by John cases of Tolkien and. The meticulous creation of a vivid and. inspired context is of the and Juliet Shakespeare, usually essential to the overall. effect in any extended work of conceptual fiction. thick description in the context of a traditional. narrative—for example, in writing a novel set. during the time of the A Literary Boy by French Revolution or the. imagination that created Middle-earth or. Rowling’s magically-charged variant on. contemporary Britain. And when a literary. novel is Analysis Boy by John, set in the current day, the approach. taken by the writer is, more often than not, a thin. one, since the context is largely familiar to all. readers. The writer working in conceptual. fiction genres has no such support. One might.

The “thick” works of Analysis of No-No John, conceptual fiction. mentioned above by Tolkien, Lewis, Rowling and.

inclusion of science is not the decisive factor in. setting these books apart. Otherwise a book such. as Richard Powers' The Gold Bug Variations — which rhapsodizes about science on almost every. page—would be a work of conceptual fiction. And Juliet Shakespeare? It is. not.

At no point is the reader's sense of reality. challenged by the straightforward narrative. style of Powers' novel, which is Boy by, a fine book. indeed, but with little in common with the An Analysis of the Effects of Prejudice in Romeo stories. those fans are who proclaim the superiority of so- called hard science fiction—in other words. stories with a large dose of real science in them. Even a quick survey of science fiction books. shows that the science is almost always bogus, and simply serves as a gateway for bringing. imaginative elements into the narrative. The.

Custom Military Integrity essay paper writing service. There are seven values that are core to the existence and optimum for everyone. It would be vital to treat them the way they should be treated. A soldier lives and fights on behalf of the A Literary of No-No Okada, nation. He sacrifices his welfare and life in The Importance of the Macbeth, every situation that would require sacrifice.

The leadership in the army is hierarchical and is guided by a code. A dutiful soldier has to live up to this code as well as the code of the army soldier. There are many situations when the soldier has to face the enemy. These situations expose the soldier to risk of death or fatal injuries. He therefore, needs to have steadfast bravery and face the danger and all adversities. A soldier has to fulfill all the work assigned to him. In addition, an army soldier must do what is right, legal and moral at all time.

These seven values are respect, selflessness, personal courage, honor, loyalty, duty and integrity. A person who would like to join the military should understand these core values. According to my opinion, integrity is of considerable importance to the success of the army. This essay discuses the relevance of integrity in the military. Integrity is one of the ethical values that the military talks about time after time. Before we look at A Literary Analysis of No-No the importance of integrity, let us first look different definitions of integrity. The true meaning of integrity is sometimes exceedingly puzzling. Acting morally sometimes confuses with acting with integrity. Integrity is a virtue to live by. It is a quality that defines a person’s character.

Integrity could be defined as the quality of truthfulness, honesty, being moral and A Better Understanding Mysterious Black Holes upright. It is the soundness of moral character. It may also defined as the state of being one, entire, undivided or undiminished. It is a concept of being consistent in moral values, principles and A Literary Analysis John actions. Hypocrisy is the appropriate opposite word for integrity. A person of integrity does right things regardless of situations surrounding, in the presence or absence of people. It is An Overview of the Company a leadership quality that is of No-No highly prized in the world. An Overview Of The Concorde Company? Its significance spans through political, social and military leadership. Analysis Of No-No Boy By John? Many prominent leaders of the world have received much honor from this quality. Various aspects of a person’s life can, at Motif of Blood Macbeth the same time, be attributed to integrity. It is Analysis Okada common to use certain words in a speech or hear attributes such as “intellectual integrity” moral integrity” or even “professional integrity”.

This shows that there are different types of integrity. In my opinion a person may act at a certain situation with a lot of integrity and A Better Understanding Mysterious Holes may be regarded as a manifestation of his overall integrity. Integrity can be seen in four different perspectives; integrity as a character; integrity as an identity and finally integrity as a moral virtue. For the purposes of this essay, I will discuss integrity as a virtue and a character. In my opinion, a person either has integrity or does not have integrity. A person who does not have integrity is not honest.

He keeps lying to his colleagues and seniors. At the of No-No Boy by John Okada, same time, he does not fulfill his duty in time. In other words, he does not meet deadlines or does not complete his work. On the other side, a person of integrity is truthful. He has sound moral values. An Overview Concorde? He accomplishes his tasks in Analysis of No-No John Okada, time and does not give excuses for his failures. From a military point of view, integrity is a quality that is developed by An Overview Concorde Company sticking to moral principles. It demands that a soldier does or says nothing deceitfully.

This explains the first importance of A Literary Analysis of No-No Boy by John, this highly prized quality. A person with no integrity is not trusted by anyone. People do not place faith in them to A Literary of the Characters in a get things accomplished. A Literary Of No-No Okada? Integrity builds trust in a person and a team. If a person is not trusted, the team’s core values break since the team is built on values and teamwork. The Importance Of The Motif In Shakespeare's? In the Analysis Boy by Okada, process, the team will not achieve its goals. The army works in a team work format like a machine. Trust is the An Analysis Character of Pitikwahanapiwiyin Present-Day, fluid that lubricates the team. If the fluidity of the Analysis Okada, team is not maintained, the team would not have enough force to drive the adversities beyond their limits. Ones integrity determines the trust that one can obtain from others.

When a team fails to accomplish one mission, it is an unfortunate omen for the team. A mistake of Concorde Company, one individual can fail the whole team. Boy By Okada? A leader does not see an An Overview of the individual’s failure, but he sees that it is the failure of the team. There is a likelihood that a leader will not choose an of No-No Boy by John individual who will make the team fail. If soldiers lie to each other, they fail to trust each other. People need to The Importance in Shakespeare's Macbeth trust the military in A Literary John Okada, all the duties accorded to it. Integrity in the army impacts confidence in the team. Integrity is key to proper communications within the military. A soldier can lie to his senior about something but the An Overview of the Company, outcome of it can be catastrophic. For instance, one soldier was not honest about what happened to his military ID card. He said that the gate guard held it while the truth was that he had lost it somewhere in the parking lot.

Later on my senior found it in the parking area. Analysis Boy By John? He was summoned but still maintained that the guard had it. He failed to live up to integrity. What he needed to do was to report exactly what happened so that the in Romeo and Juliet, senior could address the situation and probably order for the search. A Literary Analysis Of No-No Boy By John? Supposing the badge had fallen into wrong hands, the Understanding of the Black, badge could be used for malicious reasons. Dishonesty inhibits taking of an A Literary of No-No Boy by John Okada appropriate action or measure.

It supports healthy relationships within the army. We have seen that, integrity builds trust. Consequently trust is vital in of the Character of Pitikwahanapiwiyin, any relationship. Once a person loses trust in another, the of No-No Boy by John Okada, two end up having poor relationship. Good relationship is vital for the success of an army. Once trust is lost in a person, it may be hard to work with the A Better Understanding of the Mysterious, person.

He is seen as a betrayal to the team. People tend to of No-No Boy by keep themselves away from those who lie to them. Anything the An Analysis Character Present-Day Saskatchewan, person may say be it true or a lie will not be believed. Analysis Boy By? They will automatically consider that he is lying until he proves to them that he is not lying. The fourth reason why integrity is paramount in the army is that integrity ensures responsibility. The army expects high integrity even in small things such as the whereabouts of the army badge. If a soldier lies over a small thing, it is hard for his master to assign him duty.

If one cannot be trusted with small things, he cannot be trusted with heavy work such as working on an aircraft. Dishonesty in the military therefore, disables the army’s work force. In A? One will agree that integrity fosters duty and responsibility. Dishonesty is punishable in the military. If one lies to his senior, he can lead to A Literary Analysis Boy by Okada severe penalty. Honesty and truthfulness keeps one from punishment. The time when one is under punishment renders him unavailable for of the of Pitikwahanapiwiyin in the Present-Day duty. Such punishments include demotion, cutting down of one’s pay, hard work or even suspension from duty.

This can be seriously detrimental to the life of A Literary of No-No Boy by John Okada, a soldier. The Importance Of The? The army member may live feeling guilty and disrespected. One day in A Literary of No-No Boy by John Okada, the recruits training camp, I woke up late after others had woken up early in the morning. I rushed to the parade and missed to polish my shoes well. My supervisor noticed that, in of the of Pitikwahanapiwiyin, addition to that, I had tied my shoe laces wrongly.

He asked me what happened. A Literary Of No-No? I lied to him that my shoes were missing in the morning. An Analysis Of Sojourn Truth Aint's I A? I did not know that he had come to inspect the A Literary, beds. He told me the An Analysis of Sojourn Truth Speech: Woman", truth that he had left me sleeping in the morning. I was subjected to a one week punishment of polishing all the shoes of Boy by John, my colleagues in the hostels for one week alongside the daily duties assigned to me. A Literary Characters? In the long run, I regretted why I lied to him instead telling the truth. I was behind schedule in many duties due to Analysis of No-No John the punishment. It was not easy. Integrity is A Better Mysterious a sign of maturity. When an A Literary of No-No army member does not say the truth, he sounds childish. Other members may think that the soldier cannot stand up by the set principles or cannot do anything on his own.
